What is laughter yoga?
Laughter yoga was created by Dr. Madan Kataria, in India in 1995.
It is a Practise where you simulate laughter and often end up laughing naturally. It is based on physiological and psychological benefits of laughter, for example increased endorphins, stronger immune system and lower stress levels.
It helps to give you a bright perception of the world, laughter is very contagious and relaxes the whole body! Your brain can’t distinguish between a fake or real smile, so even if real laughter doesn’t come, you will still get the benefits!
We have put laughter yoga into our sessions as it’s a non verbal therapy, where an individual is left feeling bright, playful and creative!
