I’ve been asked the question “who inspires me?” since I was a child by teachers, friends, family etc.
Whilst most people idolise celebrities, public figures, Instagram models etc (this used to be the case for me, for example Britney Spears ;)) I have grown to find myself being the most inspired by the people around me.
I respect those who work out every morning, people who make their own delicious lunches, people who stand by what they believe in, those who be themselves with no inhibition. People who give 120% every day when they aren’t asked too, people who uplift everyone around them, people who empower others.
I realised the link between the things I feel impressed with - they all link to self-care and caring for others. This is what I have begun to value the most in adulthood. The amazing ability that humans and animals have to care and love.
It is very difficult for some to care so much for themselves, the way they do for others. It is also difficult for some to care at all for others. So when we are in a world that is full of hatred and sadness, it is beautiful that actually humans are made to love and care.
People need to get back into the core of caring. May that be for themselves or for others. I thoroughly Believe in any situation the more you put in, the more you get back, thus the more you put into life, the more you get back, the more you care, the more you will feel cared for.
Care and love is the thing that I have begun to value the most in adulthood. The amazing ability that humans and animals have to care. When you start noticing what people do for each other and how people are made to innately love, it is inspiring, it spreads joy and it gives hope.
